Hi Joeys and Cubs

Next week Tuesday 27 October we are all gathering to have a spooktacular evening checking out all the old and spooky buidlings in Campbelltown..

Come wearing your most gruesome costumes or wear your uniform..bring your Mum or your Dad, brothers and sisters too.  Bring a plate...see if you can make your food as ghoulish as your outfit..like how about bickies made to look like severed fingers... or make spiders.. or bloodshot eyes...just let your imagination run riot..

Notes can be found in the notes and documents section in the Joey's section.

So see you at 7pm on Tuesday evening.

thanks Akela

2009 Family Camp PDF Print E-mail

1st Leumeah Scout Group2009 Family Camp

We are planning a family camp for the group and its families on 13-15 November.

It will be at Bargoed House, just south of Newcastle.  This is a very nice camping ground, situated on Lake Macquarie.  It is owned by the Energy Australia Staff Club and is not open for public access.

This will be a camp under canvas (tents).  Bargoed House has some nice facilities including:

  •   Flushing toilets
  •  Shower block
  •  Flat, grassy sites
  •  Boat ramp on Lake Macquarie
  • Canoe hire
  • Kitchen hall
  • Playground
  • Tennis court

Location of the camp

I have applied to my staff club committee to hold this camp, however applications are rarely declined for legitimate community groups.  I have also requested information about the hire of canoes and the kitchen hall for a group dinner on one night.

Bargoed House has easy road access and powered sites (240V), so caravans are welcome.  However, powered sites are limited and may be used by other campers.

Stockton Beach is an easy drive from Bargoed House and is great for 4WDs.  If you haven’t been before, Stockton is a very large beach and is a national park.  Cost of entry is about $10 per vehicle.

To summarise:

Where                        Bargoed House
Old Pacific Hwy
Swansea (south of Newcastle)

When                         Friday 13th November (evening) to Sunday 15th November

How much                 $3 per person per night

Please log in and download the  intentions form here. If you want to go please fill one of these in and leave near the kitchen.

This response slip does not replace a Scout Activity Notification Form but as it is a family camp you will be camping as families.

But remember you will be representing the Group!

Thanks

Anthony
