Hello All
Recently the cubs attended Hogwarts School for Wizards and Witches, we all meet somewhere near Glenfield and made it through the wall onto platform 9 and 3/4 where we travelled on the Hogwarts Express, accross the lake in row boats with Hagrid, and were then sorted into our houses by the magical sorting hat..
We attended classes with professor's Snape, Trewlaney, McGonagel, Sprout, Umbridge and Madame Pomfrey.. Potions that were really really cool like we made snow.... We learnt to tie slings as everyone knows is highly important for those of us who enjoy flying our broomsticks.. We played Quiditch and went on a triwizard tournament to find the dragons egg which we then had to nurture and hatch..
We also participated in Earth Hour by turning off all the lights and getting the camp staff to turn off the camplights and we sat around candles and told stories, sang songs and did skits..this was Baloo's idea and it was soo Orsome..
We want to thank everyone who helped Ian and Annie Stewart, Nana Akela and Kim, Louise Jongkinds and Tammy Wells...everyone was amazing and helped make this a fantastic camp for all those able to attend.

This weekend is designed to encourage the interaction between Cub Scouts and Scouts and also to give Cub Scouts a taste of some of the activities enjoyed by the Scout Section, thus helping to facilitate the linking process between the sections.

This activity is for the cubs to achieve part of their waterwise badge requirements.
Cubs will be walking around Warragamba Dam to find out what areas it supplies with water and other interesting facts they can.
Cubs will be attending the education centre to learn about the conservation, and water and the natural environment.
Cubs will need to bring
- their own lunch and morning tea and drinks.
- a camera so that you can take photographs to add to your badge work.
- Wet weather gear incase of poor weather conditions.
- Good walking shoes as the cubs will be going on a "self guided tour" with leaders.
Parents are most welcome to attend this activity as well however, they will be required to complete a PED and this activity notification form and pay $10.00 as well.
The Permission note and PED forms are all here (login first).
